About the Sewing Parlor

Hello and welcome to my Sewing Parlor Web site! I am very pleased and excited to share the ageless art of sewing with you! It has always been a dream of mine to open a business where I would be able to share my technical skills, business acumen, and enthusiasm for sewing with others. My goal is to create a comfortable setting where smaller classes and individual instruction can support and nurture the creativity in others.

My background and experience includes 18 years as an instructor at an area community and technical college, where I enjoyed the interaction and the creative genius of students and faculty. I also have expertise in custom sewing, patternmaking, design, and alterations.

As a 18-year resident of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, it seemed to me the appropriate location to open my business. It is a vibrant community, with a wealth of history, never losing its back-to-basics attitude, all within the small town atmosphere. It is the perfect place to launch the Sewing Parlor! A place where I can share my 25 years of experience with you and you can learn the art of sewing and have fun in the process!
